Tod Caflish
Vice President Information Technology
After working in Dallas for IBM and EDS, Mr. Caflisch joined the San Antonio Spurs as the organizations first Computer Resource Manager, where he was responsible for a handful of computers and generating graphics and animations displayed on the JumboTRON during Spurs games.
Sixteen years and four NBA Championships later he had ascended to the position of Director of Information Technology. In this position he was responsible for the day-to-day IT operations of the Spurs, Rampage (AHL), Silver Stars (WNBA) and the AT&T Center arena. While with Spurs Sports & Entertainment he was also responsible for the planning and implementation of the voice and data infrastructure of the AT&T Center arena and Spurs practice facility.
Today he serves as the Vice President of Information Technology for the New Orleans Hornets. Mr. Caflisch was chosen in 2007 to lead the organization’s IT efforts, re-establishing technology standards and operations following the franchise’s return to New Orleans after relocating to Oklahoma City due to Hurricane Katrina. Current projects with the Hornets include CRM, digital signage, mobile marketing, fan experience wireless integration and player performance/scouting database development.
Mr. Caflisch is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer with a bachelor's degree from Framingham State University where he played four years of varsity football. He currently sits on the steering committee for the Sports and Entertainment Alliance in Technology (SEAT/ALSD), serves on the Digital Signage Expo Advisory Board and is a member of the Louisiana Technology Council.
