He is credited by many in the space as leading the "data awakening" in Sports that occurred during the early 2000s. His previous database marketing/CRM/Email clients include over 100 professional and collegiate leagues, teams, venues, and other sports related organizations.
Observing the ever-increasing amounts of data and the continued struggling of organizations in managing it, he created Whitson Sports in 2011 to re-focus organizations on the critical components and best practices necessary to manage all of their data more efficiently and effectively.
